A meme coin is giving its community members something to look forward to during this yuletide season, filling the air with excitement as the year end draws near.
Shiba Inu gave crypto investors a teaser that the token is preparing for a giveaway event to its members during the Christmas season.
‘Incredible Christmas Giveaway’
Christmas has long been known as the time for gift-giving and festivity. It seems that Shiba Inu affirms this longtime tradition of the spirit of Christmas, which symbolizes goodwill and generosity to others.
In an X post, the meme coin’s marketing lead Lucie announced an upcoming holiday offering from Shiba Inu, calling it an “incredible Christmas giveaway.”
The marketing lead said that the crypto token’s team has approved a budget to organize a Christmas event.

“I’m thrilled to announce that I’ve been approved for an incredible Christmas giveaway budget by our amazing Shib devs,” Lucie said in a post.
She revealed that the Shiba Inu holiday event is dubbed the Amazing Christmas Bone December, saying that huge rewards await community members who will participate in the special event.
Some crypto observers suggest that the so-called Christmas giveaway could be in the form of Shibarium, the official gas token of the Shiba Inu ecosystem. Others think that the reward might be the Bone ShibaSwap (BONE) or other related incentives.

Triggering Excitement
Many members of the Shiba Inu ecosystem are getting excited about what the holiday giveaway could be. The announcement sparks the interest of the coin’s users, anticipating that the Christmas rewards will make this year’s holiday season memorable for the entire Shiba Inu community.
However, a handful of community members are not delighted with the announcement, questioning what could be the reason for launching a giveaway centering on BONE rather than on SHIB.

At the time of writing, no one from the Shiba Inu team has issued an explanation about the query.
Some analysts believed that using BONE as the central asset for this year’s Christmas reward could beef up its visibility and adoption.
Currently, BONE is being traded at $0.5378, which is decreasing by 1.99% every day. However in the last seven days, BONE moved up by 3.78%.
A Similar Event In 2023
This is not the first time Shiba Inu has made a Christmas special offering to its community members.
In December 2023, the crypto token also conducted a promotional event during the Christmas season called the “Shibarium Giveaway Party.”
During the promotional event, the token’s users joined an X Space that featured top partners of the meme coin such as Bad Idea AI and Welly.
After the event, participants received 10 branded Shiba Inu and Bad Idea Tangem blockchain Wallets each.
Moreover, the Shiba Inu ecosystem team revealed that aside from the Christmas event, they will also give $2,000 to lucky Shibarium users while offering an airdrop of 500,000 PHIL tokens to SHIB holders.
